Dear Family, Friends, and Fellow Parishioners of Grace George,
Grace is finishing up her last year of High School and I’m asking you to help her with her great goal of studying at a Catholic College next year. She’s applying for 6 Colleges from the Newman Guide and wants to pursue a degree in Theology or the Liberal Arts with the hope of someday teaching or entering religious life. She has proven her hard work ethic during her high school career, built a strong academic resume, and saved $15K working after school hours to put towards college expenses. She’s doing all the right things to try to secure scholarships and FAFSA funds as well. I want to share this goal with her extended family and parish family of St. Joseph in Spearfish, so we can help a deserving young woman get off to a great first year of college. She is one of the few truly faithful young people of our generation and one of the most mature, focused and respectful young ladies I’ve ever seen. She has been selflessly serving her family around her home (she is the 9th of 12 children) serving her parish (singing in the choir at Mass and helping other young families with their children) and will continue serving others wherever she goes. Our support will help her avoid accumulating large student loan debt that would make the next phase of her life very difficult. We need to support young people so they can more readily start their own families or answer a call to a religious life of service. Grace will be praying for all her benefactors at the daily 7 a.m. Masses on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. No donation is too small and she also appreciates your prayers for her discernment! May God reward you for your generosity.
Thank you!
Irene (Grace’s cousin, the 6th of 12 children, and mother of 6)
