Jason had a pretty good life back in 2001. Just married and healthy with no medical problems, COVID started and we were expecting our first child together.

He was working full time as a farmer and I was working caring for patients in the hospital. It was recommended that families get vaccinated with myself being high risk for COVID.

Jason was vaccinated and within 8 hours we were in the ER with him complaining of chest pain , shortness of breath and issues with numbness to his body. He passed out at the home then began gasping for air.

Two years have passed since then and he has progressively worsening symptoms from the vaccine. We have seen several "ologists" and several of which deny there is any problem with the vaccine.

Jason was tested for COVID several times and was negative even when he was vaccinated. He has never had COVID yet here we are in several thousands of dollars of debt from medical costs.

My faith in my profession has decreased significantly. I contacted my Congressman, applied for help from the countermeasures program, and was told that the government will get to us when they can.

They originally hired only two providers to review cases when this all started. They now have 48 and are still not to our case.

We have hospitals and creditors calling for bills. Jason was laid off from his job when he could no longer work. He has had over 40 different sutures placed by myself at home after falling and passing out.

He stops breathing then awakens to having muscle spasms that can last for up to 2 hours cycled with him stopping breathing. After this he can not walk.

We have 4 children aged 13, 6, 4, and now 18 months.  I have carried my husband into the house myself on my own back.

He used to be able to bail hay and throw 60 pound bails in 100 degree heat for 2 hours. Now, he can not even walk through Walmart without almost passing out just to buy our daughter a bike for her birthday.

I had to leave my job to find more flexible schedules to manage taking care of Jason' s needs and our children.  Our insurance company has been denying him getting the needed treatment at this time which was IVIG and can cost up to $60,000 per infusion. These are required every 2 weeks.

I devoted my entire life to taking care of people. I have a doctorate as a nurse practitioner and I am disgusted with our medical system.

God gives us an opportunity to help see behind the stethoscope and in real life what it feels like. I never knew what it felt like to miss sleeping next to your husband and miss hugging him with all the cords when we are in the hospital.

I also am terrified of leaving him with all the medical errors I see in medical systems and how little physicians listen to what you say. Nothing is worse than hearing the love of your life say ''I want my life back'' and ''I can't live like this anymore''.

I am not one to ask for help but the bills have led to this - the stressful nights of not stressing him out so he doesn't pass out and have another episode.

We have had hospitalization after hospitalization and ER visit after ER visit with ambulances showing up at my home.

I am just needing a break to stop worrying and feel like the system has not failed me. I worked hard all my life, paying my taxes, taking care of patients staying up until 2 am, and getting up early to get to the hospital to make sure that patient is doing ok and makes it through the night because it was my responsibility.

All to hear you don't qualify for services. I just want life back too. To see my kids grow up and not have to look for extra work to pay the bills. To make it to my son' s football game and not let him down.
