Glory be to Jesus Christ!

Dear Catholic Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

I greet you with a humble and hopeful heart, seeking your support on an important journey of discernment. 

As a 44-year-old Catholic widow, I have been invited by the Abbott to participate in a private 3-day discernment retreat at the monastery. 

This retreat holds tremendous significance for me as I explore the path of religious or consecrated life.

I am writing to share my story and ask for your financial sponsorship as I am a Missionary of the Family Life serving and saving souls through God's donated provisions and prayers.

The funds raised will be used to cover essential expenses associated with attending the retreat. 

Specifically, I am seeking to raise $1,500 to cover costs such as gas, a two-night hotel stay during travel, donation for retreat, and a car rental to facilitate my transportation.

In my journey of faith, I have discovered a deep connection to my Greek or Byzantine Catholic roots. 

Within the framework of Catholic Eastern Canon Church Law, I am eligible to pursue a vocation as a consecrated widow, an aggregate nun, or even found a new community if we discern it to be God's will. 

This discernment process is one that requires careful reflection, prayer, and guidance.

I am incredibly blessed to have the support and assistance of a dedicated spiritual director who has been walking alongside me on this path. 

With their guidance and the grace of God, I have taken the necessary steps to explore the various vocations available to me.

However, I stand in need of financial assistance to make attending the discernment retreat a reality because I am a Missionary serving and saving souls off of God's providence.

It is my sincerest hope that you would consider contributing to this important step in my discernment journey to become officially a Bride of Christ under church authority.
