We, the Sister Servants of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus are a contemplative-active, pontifical, Franciscan Religious Congregation founded by St. Joseph Sebastian Pelczar and Blessed Klara Szczesna in 1894 in Krakow, Poland. By our prayer and apostolic service, we are devoted to extending the Kingdom of Love of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus everywhere.
We are an international Congregation serving in
Poland, Ukraine, Italy, France, Bolivia, Argentina, Jamaica, West Indies, and
the United States.
Our American Province is engaged in teaching and catechesis, nursing and
personal care, parish ministry, kitchen and clothing outreach to the poor,
evangelization of homes and families, especially through the Enthronement of
the Sacred Heart and pastoral visits, social media outreach, prison ministry,
and missionary work in Jamaica.
The United States Province of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus is represented in
the Dioceses of Altoona-Johnstown, Buffalo, Columbus, Grand Rapids, and Mandeville, Jamaica, West Indies.
